Vision Therapy

Visual therapy is an individualized treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies. Various methods are used, including home-based therapy, in-office therapy, lens/prism therapy, or a combination of the methods.

Vision therapy sessions include procedures designed to enhance the brain's ability to control eye alignment, eye teaming, eye focusing abilities, eye movements, and visual processing.

Visual therapy is especially effective for patient with strabismus (crossed eyes), amblyopia (lazy eye), reading difficulties associated with poor eye coordination, learning disabilities, focusing problems, traumatic brain injury or stroke and visual field loss.
